Support
Email support@askthebishop.com. This guide is not a bishop, a church representative, or a therapist. If you are in danger, use the crisis lines below. They are built into the app and work when this site is down.
Questions people ask
Do I need an account?
No. You can ask without one. An account is only for optional encrypted sync of saved answers.
Is a chat saved on the server?
Not by default. There is no conversation table. See the privacy policy for what is sent, logged, and stored.
Where does the journal go?
On the iPhone it stays in the encrypted vault. The server rejects journal uploads. The website demo keeps its journal in this browser only.
Is this an official church tool?
No. This is an independent AI guide, not a bishop, church representative, or therapist.
Report an issue
On an answer in the iOS app, use "Report an issue with this answer." You can add a note. The answer text is uploaded only if you turn on the excerpt option. If the server is unreachable, the note stays on that screen.
On the website, the same control is on the answer. You can mark it as a factual error, a broken source, unfair framing, or a harmful response. The excerpt checkbox works the same way: off means no answer text is stored.
You can also write to support@askthebishop.com. Include what you saw and, if you want, the source titles. Do not send journal entries.
Delete your data
On the iPhone, open Privacy and settings.
- Delete saved answers, journal, next step, and check-in. That removes the vault and its key from the device.
- Delete account and server copies. That deletes the Supabase user. Encrypted saved-answer rows for that user are removed with the account. Copies already uploaded stay if you only turn sync off. Clear the device separately if you also want the local journal gone. A session token can linger until it expires. The account itself is gone.
On this website, Account clears the browser copies of saved answers, the website journal, the next step, and the check-in. Hosted accounts are deleted from the app, not with the local username form.
